It was a delightful project to be part of and excellent professional development for The Arts teachers and I. Students involved in the project were kicking several cross-curricular goals: Technology & Design, Media, Music, Drama, Visual Art. There were also less quantifiable outcomes: students for instance improved their listening skills, extended creative problem-solving skills and team work along the way by working in multi-age groups toward common goals. Most importantly, they connected more meaningfully to their community's spaces.
Our universe is a sounding musical composition in which we are simultaneously audience, performer and composer. (R.M. Schafer)
